BROKEN BOTTLES
Broken bottles on the shore
You're molded to the bathroom floor
Just like you were the day before
All throughout the year and more
No excuse, you're such a mess
You break your word, you're honor-less
A heartless soul…

If she'd just been honest about it online, b4 they met in person, he could have been cool with it... based on a story related to me by a friend, and hopefully it will be taken in the fun spirit in which it is intended and no one is too offended.

Hey gene? How can I find out how many plays one of my tracks has?? (This one specifically) it's not showing me :( I usually get an idea for how well my tune is received by the comment thread, but you have brought it to my attention that this is at the top of my played songs continuously and even was apparently "KICKING ASS!" At one point in time for a while! Buttt.... its by far my least commented on... I don't understand it man. Help?

Hi Rob!
Thanks for your kind note. I would love to collaborate on another tune. If you have some blues vibes you can help me with, I'd appreciate your thoughts on how to make Baby in a Grown-up's Body come to life. It's posted here a few tracks ago on my page. Glad to know you got internet back. Hopefully the worst of the storms are behind us!
Have a great day,
Colleen

Well, as long as you are going to name your first born Greg ......
I'll take another listen. I'm behind on the RPM Challenge, but after that I could try. These last few weeks have had too much life going on.
I learned from Colleen that you are Gene's Son. It's nice to know you.

Colleen Dillion says she likes the newest tune! does anything come to mind melodically when you listen to it? It's not usual for me but sometimes I completely draw a blank and they usually sit around and get forgot and they never get vocals! I would be ecstatic to collaborate on something less distorted anD layered with instruments. I love writting and i could be do more of the singer songwriter style of instrumentals and record them? I would enjoy finishing some songs :)

This is an IDEA or blueprint for the solo of a song I wrote called the same 12 steps. It's just a snippet and it's unmixed but it's just so pretty to me. This was one take on each track (backing/lead) but I think alot of the reason it turned…
This one is dedicated to my dear friend John. Thanks for changing my life for the better....
Also a big thanks to our own Greg Connor who helped me get the chords for my own uke accompaniment, and who kindly played the beautiful guitars…
Each time I sit down to learn something about Logic, I end up getting distracted and creating some kind of track...
This one uses EFM1 -> Delay Designer -> Live Cut
Some drums through similar craziness
and finally me playing some pads and…
This was my first song that I steered away from the general 4:4 signature. I'm not very intellectually savvy with music theory and whatnot, so this was a step for me.

WOW!!! I am sincerely speechless. I knew this was coming and still I'm completely taken back by the history here. Honored and proud to have had a small role in 3 generations being represented. I don't see topping this on the context of historical relevance.
Thank you very much for taking the time to listen to one of my sloppily recorded ideas! I have had the worst time with basic song construction and even coming up with more than one verse or chorus and then completely loosing my drive. I'm not under the impression that my riffs or ideas for songs suck or anything but I fell cumbersome because I have no endgame and without a point , what's the point right?? ;) anyway, that leads me to my reason for swinging by at the moment, thank you tremendously for the kind words on "4 the kisses...." I waswondering if you would consider putting a vocal track to it please? I understand fully if you can't or simply don't want to, but if you do..... !!!!!!! I would be eternally greatful and for the rest of my stay at alonetone.com I would consider naming my 1st born Greg
I wrote this song while out hiking some awesome trails in Zion National Park... gave me some excellent inspiration. I also tried some different stuff with the mixing and using my keyboard... so trying to push a few of my envelopes...
Here…
Thank you for everything :) that was the first collaboration i have had since being on alonetone! I'm just like a kid I guess, I was wondering if you have any songs that I could help you with the instrumentals to? I do alot of styles well thag I haven't posted yet, Songwriter styles and acoustic guitar with piano.
just wanted to stop by and say thank you again and GREAT JOB :D
looking forward...
i just threw a name to this before I loaded it. I tuned my guitar to "DADGAD" in order to play some intricate smooth jazz riffs similar to a super human fella named ANDY MCKEE, but instead this came out and i haven't done anything with it since…
Yes please and Absolutely to experimenting with your track! I am by no means a conventional style guitar player though the music I have uploaded so far here is not proof of that. i have been dying In my local scene for many many years. I have dearly missed the challenge and the joy of pushing my playing. I used to love to find a way to make the guitar fit where it doesn't have a clear place in the mix. I don't remember the last time I had to work a riff out before playing it. collaboration is what i live for! I look forward to seeing what happens myself!! When could i get a version to give it a shot?
I need more of this in my life... ever heard of a modern day band called " you me and everyone we know"? They March to their own drum while saying a lil something worth hearing in a popularish format so the message slips right inside :D. Yeah... I dig!
Okay... I wasn't expecting that at all! Reminiscent of thriller bUT if old Micheal Jackson had a out of wedlock child with the band "Say Anything" ... DIG IT?

Sorry about the click! Its that loud from crosstalk! This is only 2 layers, the rhythm and the solo. i use IKMEDIA's original IRig and apparently something about the frequency of the Peavy acoustic/electric guitar really disagrees. I have tried other cables, seperate headphones, lowering the input volume and even using adapters on the input intrument cable... I'm out of ideas. No other guitar I use causes anywhere near the amount of feedback and crosstalk. But what you hear on this track is unprocessed RAW right from the guitar to the input. Natural and no post effects whatsoever. I absolutely adore the tone and it's a sound that I would love to utilize but I just can't fix it! Does anyone know why this happens or have an idea for a solution that I didn't mention trying earlier? I would be eternally greatful for any Suggestions :)
You guys make me comfortable to workshop ideas and post things I have never thought to play for people before. The greatest thing is that I notice that there is a very minimal amount of "smoke blowing" here compared to reverb nation, Sound cloud and godforbid FB! I love the genuine responses here. And PLEASE feel free to critique anything that isn't up to par. I thrive and even excel from it. God I miss the little things! Thanks again to everyone that has popped in and listened through my recordings! It humbles me and I hope with some honest feedback to motivate me that I will rediscover my love for creating music I am genuinely proud of!
Much love to you guys and that one loan gal ;)

Yes sir... the title may seem out of place for this piece as it stands alone here. The song that I plan to add this piece to a song I wrote about how difficult a particular set of 12 steps can be and how extremely daunting it can be to even try them again after having not made it "to the bottom floor" I use quotation marks because in the song I use that phrase as a metaphor for completing the 12 steps ( getting clean )
The chorus goes, "so here I go again, this time a different reason, to begin. To start back at those same 12 steps I've stumbled down before. But I've never made it to, the bottom floor"

I honestly can't express how much that means to me man... thank you very much. Good job Rob and Colleen! Sounds good!!!!
Excellent!
Slow starter... turns into a wow situation! I would love to hear quality recorded version of this. Do you have vocals or lyrics to go with this song?
Very creative, brilliant, beautiful.
Wow. Gorgeous. Fabulous, guys.
I uploaded that track for you without guitar, I'm looking forward to what you come up with! Enjoy.......
