Another in my ongoing series of experiments with the Reaktor instrument ‘Metaphysical Function’.

This was produced and recorded entirely in Reaktor with the resulting AIFF file converted to MP3 using Fission.

In this piece I start with one of my custom base patches and gradually build up modulation of the oscillators before bringing in the sampler, filter, distortion, spin, resochord, and reverb modules one by one.

Then I began to morph the sound using Reaktors patch-morph feature between this and 2 other patches I’ve made this weekend.

There is so much to this thing and I really love the evolving textures you can produce with it.

In the next piece I am aiming to add rhythm again using some advice from beatmaster-glu about how to layer rhythmic parts.

Heh... i've been listening on monitors (I have a pair of KRK-RP5's) so maybe haven't experienced the full dose of HF myself :) And Wildgeas, I hope that's a good kind of hurt :)
