F- The Life of the Trembling Sky

This was Week 9’s recording, and it was in the key of F. Originally, it was intended to be a “Hippie Jam”, i.e. one or two acoustic guitars, drum circle, and lots of chanting and group singing. However, because it was two days before Thanksgiving, we only had four people. Also, we had no actual drums to use. So, what came out was this: a bizarre, very slow moving post-folk song about the sky. The crazy sounds you hear towards the end are made by singing or playing guitar into a cellphone that’s on speakerphone with another cellphone (also on speakerphone) right next to it. Oh, and most of the percussion in this song was our guitars, a piece of metal, a bamboo stick I found in the trash, and an old cheese ball drum. -JM
