The final song in the keyed series, this one was recorded with just Zane and I. A few days before recording this one, I repaired an old digital delay/loop pedal my dad had, so we used that as one of the main elements of this song. Unlike the loop…

The second to last song in the keyed series, this one features the return of Jacob Moore, which was great, because I really enjoy having clarinet in there. This song was also on the last day of Adam and I's finals, recorded after both of us had…

This song is the first Solar Fetus song to only use two people. Absolutely no one showed up to Adam and I's room in time to record this, so we ended up doing it by ourselves. The talking, screaming, and random sound you hear faintly in the background…

This was Week 9's recording, and it was in the key of F. Originally, it was intended to be a "Hippie Jam", i.e. one or two acoustic guitars, drum circle, and lots of chanting and group singing. However, because it was two days before Thanksgiving…

This is our 8th song, and one thing you may notice about it is that (on alonetone and iTunes) it is at a lower bit rate than most of the others. This is because Alonetone seems to have a 60MB song size limit. However, if you want it at original…

This was our third song, and involved only 3 people. While I had invited a ton of people to come, for whatever reason it got to be about half an hour after we said we would start and it was only Adam and I. However, Scott showed up just as we…

This song was recorded week two, and while it only has one different musician from week one, the songs ended up being very different. This song has a much greater risk factor, in that it does not have one steady rhythm or anchor, and therefore…

Poured myself a small cup of acoustic guitar, half finger picking, half ebow. Nothing fancy, nothing magical, nothing fantastical, just something to relax through.

Solar Fetus is an improvisational band from Brandeis University founded by Justice McAwesome. The group (whose membership changes on a song by song basis) meets weekly in Justice and Adam’s room, knowing only a very small bit about the music they are going to make. We have just finished our first project, which was to make a song using (primarily) the ionian mode of every key, starting at C# and then descending chromatically. If you have any ideas for other projects, please let us know! Contributors so far have been:

Justice McAwesome- all songs Adam Levitt- all songs except D Jacob Moore- C#,C,Bb,Eb Scott Oglesby- C#,C,B,A,G#,G,F#,Eb Shikchha Srivastava- C Andrew Rauner- Bb Jonathan Plesser- A,G#,F#,Eb Pheobe Sanderbeck- A,G,F# Felege-Selam Yirga- G,F Zane McNois- G#,D
