NEEDLE’S EYE

the river of time is flowing bright
out into the void of empty night
we gaze at the ripples almost scared of what we’ll find

in search of the past we penetrate
the dream of an everlasting fate
we’re destined to find that we were not the only ones

so through a needle’s eye will rise the man
the only sapiens since the universe began

somewhere in the farthest folds of space
there must be a mighty, ancient race
could make our skies fall down or lead us to the light
