Some Christians are full of premonitions

they’ll force a birth but not feed the kid
scream at the homeless for everything they did
throw people in prison to make money
America is no land of milk and honey

do they think of what they’ll say
when they stand before Christ on judgment day
will he brand them a sheep or a goat
on the lake of fire no boat will float

they were hungry but would not feed them
they were naked but would not clothe them
they were sick but didn’t care
they were strangers but did not share

these are all the least of these
they saw them but didn’t really see
walking around with a big gold cross
they have no idea what they’ve lost

he taught us all the golden rule
love and kindness are the best tools
he told us he’s coming back one day
when you stand before him what will you say
