2 A mooch down the Boulivard in New York
RPM CHALLENGE 2024
A MOOCH DOWN THE BOULIVARD IN NEW YORK
I walk these city streets alone
footsteps from behind dance out the time
Murmmers of truth hang in the air
As I roam down the Boulivard
Lost within the beat, echoing from the feet of a thousand passers by
I have nothing to loose but time
I walk with a crooked smile
Alone with the noise of this beautiful city
walk, don’t walk, walk
I hear the whispers of a thousand nationalities tracing back through time
Etched into these concrete streets
whispered dreams trapped in stone
Hollow thoughts and screams
faces with no dreams
Eyes dead facing forward
The race of the unseen
Windows everywhere
A feeling of being watched, surveyed
Privacy vanquished to mortal man
I march forward
Forward to the invisible line
Of rich and poor
Drawn by past histories
Rusting fire escapes adorned with Graffiti
Detritus blows about the street
Violence hangs in the air
Like a murderous thought
The subway booms above my head
Like the roadway to hell
I walk on through the city
I am an alien in this different land
So alike but unknown
This culture is not my own
Each on guard from that unknown threat
Each with their own fear of this city
Each in fear of themself’s
I walk these city streets alone
Looking for that dream
of New York
I’ve thought it before, but I don’t know if I commented, best album cover of the year or right there for me. It’s cool that you actually saw the Led Zeppelin building Thought it before, but don’t know if I commented, this album, cover photo wins and down for me. I can’t believe you actually got a pic the physical graffiti building. It looks the same!
