In the early morning of the 14th April
Two days before the rain
Took the smile from my face to turn it to pain
Taking my smile from my face to never return again
All was calm

the ocean like glass beneath an unclouded sky
Then came those dark clouds
bringing with them the rain the rain of misery
Taking the smile from my face with its trickery
It rained

Washing the thoughts from inside my soul again and again
Till I was clean

my all was filtered to rain

There was only the now there was no yesterday
Two policemen stood in front of me
looking not speaking
They seemed afraid
They had news they knew would brake any man in two

of my child
She had been driving fast along the back roads
And braked and hit a tree
She was gone
