windmills of your mind - cover by the nu psimians

slightly different mix for sinbad multitrackstudioforum who suggested a vocal boost and some creepy Vincent Price reverb(i may have given it too much of a boost though)

sort of vaguely electroskank arrangement with some hints of klezmer & some extra words from me

[& noises from freesound.org: Cartoony_Clangs_hit_with_spade (snare) by Timbre, coin_falls (hihat) by skynproduction, breaking_glass & spinning coins by Robinhood76; also uses stavi_violin (http://www.sf2midi.com/soundfonts/file-detail/stavi_violin-sf2-3994.html) & claire fitch cello (http://www.fitchsounds.com/freestuff.php) samples]

round round round round round round round round
like a circle in a spiral like a wheel within a wheel.
never ending or beginning on an ever spinning wheel
like a snowball down a mountain or a carnival balloon
like a carousel that’s turning running rings around the moon
like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes on it’s face
and the world is like an apple whirling silently in space
like the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind
like a tunnel that you follow to a tunnel of its own
down a hollow to a cavern where the sun has never shone
like a door that keeps revolving in a half forgotten dream
or the ripples from a pebble someone tosses in a stream.
like a triskela that twirls upon the holy book of durrow
or the watch found in the pocket of a waistcoat in a burrow
like the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind
mind mind mind mind mind mind mind mind
like the smiley in the yin-yang or the grain of truth in libel
like a pornograhic film based on a story from the bible
like a paisley-patterned creature from your fractal forest nightmare
where you’re always headed home but somehow never do get quite there
and you follow your own footprints with a cry of “cowabunga!”
but you know the food you find can never satisfy your hunger
and you know that she’s not coming and your suddenly aware
that the autumn leaves are turning to the colour of her hair
hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair hair
keys that jingle in your pocket words that jangle your head
why did summer go so quickly? was it something that you said?
lovers walking along the shore and leave their footprints in the sand
is the sound of distant drumming just the fingers of your hand?
pictures hanging in a hallway or the fragment of this song
half-remembered names and faces but to whom do they belong?
when you knew that it was over in the autumn of goodbyes
for a moment you could not recall the colour of his eyes
like a circle in a spiral or a wheel within a wheel
never ending or beginning on an ever spinning wheel
as the images unwind like the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind

This is some weird stuff! i like the flow of the instruments followed with your accompanied weird-like vocals. reminds me of Tom Waits. Weird in an Awesome way that is.
