Ever since I started listening to microtonal music I feel like my ears are getting 'cleansed' from the typical equal tempered tuning. ( I'll always enjoy the works of genius in equal temp......but for now it would be hard to go back). Your site is fantastic because you have provide a good example of no stylistic limitations.
I teach at a private music studio and will recommend your site.

Well, I had this crazy idea that *maybe* Buddy Guy was using some microtonal inflections in his cover of Tramp (which are what the "blue notes" are and thought it would be cool to cover it with my fretless guitar. As it turned out it was my ear…
Absolutely love Buddy Guy. And the cover, though tbh this reminded me more of Fripp's over-driven guitar in 21st Century Schizoid Man, with more of a mid and 'tail' to it (I don't think I know what I'm talking about here). Great vocals!

Creation's game
My mind is broken
The depth I cannot fathom
Even the stars will die
There is no direction
When every path
Is the same
Creation's game
Break apart
Each waking thought

This is a traditional piece that dates back to at least the 16th century. Since the version I have is instrumental I used what is called Pythagorean Tuning and period instruments to render it. (alto recorder, bells (crotales), fiddle, and bodhran…
I think this needs a guitar solo but i'm not capable of doing it so if anyone would like to give it a go i would love to hear what you could come up with its in C. Otherwise i'm quite happy with it...now with a solo by Billy Jack
Please Don…
some mistakes, like playing live, but i make them right quicky. the song is for halloween and make of the lyrics what you will.
the drums have phaze on them. some of the soft guitars have phaze and flange. the beginning 2 1/2 mins are slow…
Chris Vaisvil sent me over some guitar to see what i could come up with…he also sent it to Phantasm777 to see what he could come up with on the drums and i might add has done a striling job with them….Chris then mixed it and sent it to me for…
yikes, hope i don't disgrace the beatles with this one. i tried to stay to the spirit of the song. obviously i didn't have a sitar and i didn't think i should need to re-create every sound effect they did, but i did many! one of my fav psyche…
i was trying to work on a piece for a shark video of mine, but this is what came out instead,, my piano moments collections are the small musical threads that emerge amongst/while i am working/thinking about other things,,,
Well last night just as i was of to bed , there was a knock on the door of the cellar and it was John & George they had come for a sess and i mean who was i to deny them…..they'd heard of the Beatle fest from Elvis…he could never keep quiet…
cover of the pink floyd song
dr alfredo de pietra on guitars and myself on vocal duties. a slighty different mix from the two versions at songcrafters.

Chris does Blues! Good song and strong guitar playing.
A delicate composition, very pretty. The photo reminds me of what I didn't like about Houston.
This is expressive and solid. Bound together in the light of lights.
Love the flute it gives it a certain magic.....
Such a clear flute. An inspiring piece, strong and meaningful. A perfect partner for the reading.
Excellent!
