excellent... thanks a lot for publishing! I like it very much... as an inspiration for my own longform meditative (but abstract) work.
Thanks thetworegs - yes it is pretty strange. When I first came across this sort of moving meditiation / music I wondered what on earth it was about and what was I doing. But it has become a central part of my life improvising and creating music and what we call body prayer around the wonder of the Oneness of being which can be expressed in any number of ways but the Sufi's traditionally use Allah.
Well that was different ....in a good way....that's the first time I've made the dinner with a chant of Allah in the background I found it quote soothing .....
My passion is the practice of (improvised) zikr through music, sacred word / song and meditative movement / dance. Zikr is the practice of Remembrance, remembrance of Unity with the One and is a central part of Sufi practice. My particular form of Sufi practice is in the lineage of Hazrat Inayat Kahn and the Sufi Ruhaniat via Samuel Lewis though I am initiated in the Sufi Order.
