But we were corresponding by email on the 14th.
Then we met for the first time at Clapham Common on the 16th.

Remember how
I dreamed of you

Everyone knows of
A burden or two
Just as expected
That’s what we do
But sometimes the burdens
Are too much to bear
People get broken
People get scared

But on this day
Now years ago
You showed me something
That meant I could know
How all the horrors
At last were done
You came to rescue me

Now every day
I look at you
Remember how
I’d longed for you
But on this day
As I recall
You came to rescue me
