It seems a lot of you record with open mics and can relate. I record 1 track at a time with usually 4 or 5 tracks. So, Im only asking for about 15 minutes of Silence...IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK??? Anyway, my house is so loud, I get a lot of bloopers…
phone ringing, dog barking (or drinking water) ac comin' on, kids outside screaming, someone comin' home and opening (or slamming close) the front door, dryer buzzer goin' off, fridge condenser fan comin' on....;>)
I have issues at my house, sometimes they manifest themselves in my tracks. In this case, the bassoon and oboe represent the mouse. The guitar is the peanut-butter.
A little rough but I loved making it.
My friend Dave had bought a Roland GR-20, so it was critical he did the solo in the middle and end :)

This is a smooth jazz piece built around Norm Harris' percussion using Garritan Jazz and Big Band sample set with the Aria player and a touch of tonehammer's Francesca sample set. Something Norm and I did last April.

That Micro BR does pretty damn good recordings! Double the time signature and crank it up!
Why can everyone else play cool solos but not me! Bring up the main vox!
I'd bring up the solo and add reverb to put it 'up' among the stars with the strings!
