I don't have the source-files for this one, but I think it was made in 2004, probably in the winter

Welcome! Love the upright bass and the ethereal jazzy feel over the dark overtones. What's that sound at the end?

Another one from back when I was tracking to actual tape. Was going to do a new version at some point, but decided I had lost interest. Sometimes there's no sense in recreating the past! Recorded probably the beginning of 2007

Solo acoustic finger picking thing I've been working on for a while. Sometime around 1968 I started studying with Mr. George Bennett who taught me the rudiments of finger picking. Later when we played some gigs together he also taught me the rudiments…

This song was made by two different piano samples (both from Sudara): 1. One was recorded by Sudara (and gang?) axing away at a hapless old piano in New Mexico. 2. today, I convinced Sudara to noodle on the piano and send it over to me…

This is day 24 of my 24 day project. So that means it's over. And if you're reading this on alonetone, this is lucky track number 100. 24 "songs" in 24 days. Really, the only requirement was to produce a minute of music each day. I wish…

Hey Alec, I dig the songs! I like that they're a little rough around the edges -- kinda like seeing a loose sketch in someone's sketchbook vs. a super-refined hyper realistic oil painting. I also had the most depressing period of my life living in Los Angeles, and I doubt that's a coincidence, it's a tough city fer' sure. Things in my life improved tremendously as soon as I left. Anyway, cheers for sharing the songs and staying so productive during a dark time despite it all!

A reverse take (recorded live at a gig) of a couple of Pink Floyd covers. The amazing Bill Pohl on 2nd guitar. It came out sounding strangely symphonic.
