Haha, I'm listening. And dancing. And often singing along in a "I don't really know this but I can't help myself la la la found another sucker...can't let it go...never very hungry...la la laaah!!" kinda way.
First of all, the intro is excellent - really tempting! And then the tugging melody pulls in the listener along with your usual classy lyric-writing. All round great performance! Love this track!

The original version of this track, which is a bit more uptempo, can be found on the album "There's No Justice...Just Us" all of which can be heard here on Alonetone. I played an acoustic version at a gig in April and, after a little tweaking…
This is GREAT! I love that you've been faithful to the melody but put it in a rock setting with a gentle intro/outro, light and shade - very cool!
I really prefer covers that take elements of the original, but bring something totally new - like this!
:-) Thank you! :-)
OK, I have just listened to David's original, and this cover, back-to-back. I love what you've done - rocking it up works so well! And you've also got a great voice! A massive success! I can't possibly upload my cover song now...
My attempt at being the male version of Sister Savage. I apologize in advance if you think it sucks.

Awesome stuff man! It's a total head rush to me, hearing someone put their own spin on something I wrote. I've had a grin on my face for the past 5 minutes!
I too love what you've done with the chorus, and the ending. It's cool that you've made the verses a small bit different too, I dig it. Well done, and again, thanks for doing it!

A very touching piece - beautifully presented.
That's one helluva back story! I'll take your advice! Re. solo - are you planning to add it later? Was this an RPM timing issue?
I'm going to love this album. Your song-writing is sounding stronger than ever - and your vocal is suberb!
Wonderful playing and singing, and great song-writing!

I agree with Bethan - you were brave to turn this one on its head, but you really pulled it off!

Hey, this is a very brave cover and it really works. Well played!
Great song-writing - throughout your playlist.
Great song!
1977 !! Yeah this works for me, too. Gritty and a younger character, and breaking out rather than lost! Good one.

Excellent cover. You made it your own version completely, which is difficult to do with a song like "Hallelujah". Well done.
