That beer on the table yours or mine?
I only left the room for a short time.
If you've gone and switched them I'm gonna be sad,
Cos that beer was the best one that I ever had.
Don't drink my beer, you hear?
I'm counting to 4 just to make…

Thank you Tom and AMUC. They are professional loops, except for the two synths which I played at the beginning and repeated. The timing takes care of itself once you have set the speed up. It's choosing what to use, how to arrange it and make it sound interesting is the fun and challenge of it for me. I'm grateful for your feedback.

I've been pondering which part of this song to single out as my favorite, but what I think like more than anything is how well it all combines to be more than the sum of its parts. Great job, Steve!

Lyrics by Tom Browning
Slight, crooked teeth,
I hear behind the screens so blind
Our, fingertips, burnt tyres and lips next to it.
Down, in the suit that we wear,
It's in the suit that we share.
Can't you seek us out and then find, find, find
That we ain't got nothing to hide, hide, hide
Through, the dirt,
Spring pinches it's deadly grip
An, acid rain, ungroomed smell of it
Slight, crooked teeth, I hear behind the screen.
Our, fingertips, burnt tyres and lips next to it.
He can't play nicely or share his toys
He always takes from the other boys
Got no time for music or vids
Doesn't act like the other kids
Does Donald
Don't let Donald play
He's gonna spoil your day
Believe his words if you must
But only…

Thanks Tom, I appreciate your comments. Mixing and cutting loops to make a tune is easier for me than singing. I think I need more help than a bit of echo. Talking Heads were fun and wacky, a bit different, so I'm happy if I remind you of them.
Diminished Wattage - The first single from the Signals|Noise album. This song is based on an actual conversation where it was insisted that the fog in San Francisco is not real, but rather a chemical produced by the government. This actually inspired…
Well here's my contribution to the Pirate challenge from Robert Palomo. I think you'll agree it was time to call it a night on this one, but it was a lot of fun writing and recording it! Hope it gives you a chuckle or two.
Why Do Parrots…
I decided to pick a few chords at random, just like that, wrote them down and then somehow tried to make a melody with it, no idea how, but it worked :-) I then added some lyrics et voilà...here's the result. A quick "just for fun" project. I…
Cool. Have you ever tried to sing along? I'm bad at singing, shy and embarrassed, but with a few of the effects available I have given it a go.
Rock on Johnny!
OK, so i took two little somethings i did a year ago, heavily edited them, and spliced 'em together.
The first part i did lying in bed with the guitar and a handheld multi-tracker one morning; the second half..? Probably a different day…
Geas heard my Zepfext that i'm having and sent me a little prezzie over in the form of this great backer....i found it quite a challenge and throughly enjoyed trying to crack the nut....you should have heard the first aahha it nearly cracked the…
Don't tell me how it is, I'm good, I got it, I got it. But are we blind, and are there cracks in a facade? The riff was what came first, probably while watching the idiot box one evening. I am pretty sure it came very soon after RPM '15, and I…

Thanks Brett

I like the crunchy drums here. This sounds very professionally mastered - all the instruments jump right out at you in the mix.
Thanks for your lyrics and vocal performance Tom. Kind of brought it to life!
Thanks fairynuff : )
Thanks again for offering the opportunity to collab on this song with you, Steve!

Thanks Tom. I will eventually come up with some words to fit and suit this.
Fun stuff, Steve! This one really has an inspiring edge to it, kinda like a "We Will Rock You" by Queen.
nice..
Thank you kindly. As long as people like you appreciate and enjoy it, I will keep trying to entertain!
This is astonishingly good! I think you are being too humble in saying you *just* patch a few sounds together.
Thanks Tom. You are too kind. I only patched a few sounds together :)
Flawless -- you're really starting to hit your groove with songwriting, Steve!
I hear you, brother.
Thank you fairynuff!
