A Little Memory
This was recorded “Live” (even if it was the fourth take), and did no “fixes” to anything. So this is what I “really sound like”. I am happy with the bridge, which I came up with about 5 minutes before hitting “record”
We’re talking about the good old days
Finding that we didn’t have too many things to say
Ending up standing round staring out into space
Nothing but a silly little grin on my whole damn face
Just a little memory
Slipping through my fingers
A shadow of a reason from the corner of my mind
A little memory
Slipping through my fingers
The dust is getting higher in the corner of my mind
Telling my adventures into the unbelieving eye
The child-like wonder disbelieving all my silly lies
Did I see the beatles did I kill them all in vietnam?
Sure I musta done that I used to be a real man
Just a little memory
Slipping through my fingers
A shadow of a reason from the corner of my mind
A little memory
Slipping through my fingers
The dust is getting higher in the corner of my mind
Seeing little future so we’re dwelling on the distant past
Try to understand that life is going way too fast
Forgetting the beginning, no way to understand end
Write it in an email and forgetting to click the send
Just a little memory
Slipping through my fingers
A shadow of a reason from the corner of my mind
A little memory
Slipping through my fingers
The dust is getting higher in the corner of my mind
