so i just woke up and vaguetweeted and handsome dave bishop asked me if it was a song lyric and it was an old idea for a lyric that never panned out but he liked it so on my walk today i wrote a song and i thought i'd post it so i could share…
are cornflowers even a thing? i've driven past a hundred cornfields and never seen flowers in a color one might describe as "cornflower blue". i always ask when i play this song at open mics and someone once told me but i forgot exactly what he said.

Started recording this with no idea what to do with the sound. Wound up with three different vocal takes to choose from, didn't like any of them, used all of them.
Embarrassingly I assigned the wrong channel while recording drums and lost some stuff. Should be more low-end drums. Oh, well. Such is life in February.
That would be my fretting hand; I’m an expert at fretting.
