I got tired of playing by the rules. (The album concept was using only portable instruments which I could carry in one trip.)
This track uses every functional piece of gear I own at least once. In no particular order . . . TR-606, TB-303…
Late-stage demo of a Kraftwerk tribute upon which I'm currently working. Most of the tracks are solid at this point. See the second mix to hear what 12 hours of mixing and production did to it.
So I am searching for Kraftwerk inspired tunes and hit play, not looking at the artist,... player launches,.. I KNOW THIS! What a pleasant surprise 😀. Your friend Binary R ❤️
Madame Fortune seems to enjoy spinning that wheel of hers. It's tough to keep up sometimes. As Gilda always used to say, "it's always something."
Executed entirely upon the Korg DW-6000 and Yamaha CS1x.
I like here how certain elements of the track seem to weave in and out of sync with the main tempo of the song. It gives the track this precarious balance, like somebody standing still while riding on a unicycle.
Why is it that when I want to start over and listen to this track from the beginning that it always starts from where I left off, even if I go listen to another track, even another album, this makes no sense. Araghhh!! grp
You sound like Bowie in the beginning of this track. This is very interesting listening while playing games. Did you crack your voice on purpose??? love, grp
I'm so confused, but I just woke up but I'm only hearing 15 syllables here, what am I missing, is this a different form. This is G here, if you hadn't guessed.
I'm always amazed by the sounds you artists can create. Great transition into the body of the song. Are lyrics soon to follow? (Not that it needs them... This is beautifully arranged)
The very beginning of an idea for a Philip Glass tribute. If things continued along in this manner to their predictable end, Mr. Glass could very well sue me. Not to worry. I have plans to take it in a different direction. Stay tuned throughout…
This is the first time in nearly seven yrs that I've listened to Evan and Elle again. I actually listened to all of the tracks. I was surprised that I enjoyed them more than ever. I think I was angry (more than I could admit or be aware of, HA) 7 yrs ago I think, in particular, the idea of taking an entire month to create this album was blowing my mind and annoying me (but I think I was VERY well behaved and considerate regardless) especially considering everything else that was happening in our lives. So a funny observation I have is that I thought I was the Evan of your life but obviously I was the Elle since that's the female, and I AM known as some version of elle in other places around the world of the web. And just for fun I'm not making this a private comment so if anyone else reads it they can wonder. I suppose you can make it private. I have NO clue!
Have been listening all day,.. great while working. Excellent track and looking forward to hearing the rest of the CD when when it's done at the end of the month. Thank you posting!
A little four-bar, 21-second joke. It's all woodwinds and a tiny bit of sampled junk percussion.
Mr. Schaum was the band teacher when I was in elementary school. Hmmm, or was it Mr. Schram? I don't recall now.
Comments on fallingupart's stuff
I like this a lot, and I love the concept.

@G-Guest: A reply hefted into the past by six years: Just wait until you reach track 80.
Ah Someone else who is fed up of the usual mainstream dross. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I like the melodic progressions of this. The colorful 'Arpy' synthesizers have an Ed Van Fleet feel to them.
I wonder who SHE is? I can think of a couple ppl, only one is not me...
OK I get it, just refresh the entire browser tab.

I wish I could understand the first couple lines of this.
FAR OUT MAN!!!
That last comment was me, by the way.

This should definitely be grown further

Hi, this is great like all the influences (kraftwerk, vangelis, Jarre + Tangerine Dream) without actually sounding like any of them. Fantastic piece!!

Ah, thank you kindly. :)
This track is radically different from my others; please don't make it the only one you check out!
