We all know someone like this. Sometimes I'm like this. Anyway, recorded using my Epiphone semi-hollowbody. I love the gtr sound on this one. Again, it's older, so the sonic quality isn't anywhere near what I do now.

Nothing like a good gtr riff to inspire a song. This one is backwards in a way. The first verse has a lot of layers, the second one is much cleaner...
I had fun doing the backing vox on this one, it was the first day I really had my voice back…
So, I get this e-mail from a friend who had gone to NYC for a conference. At this conference she meets the love of her life, and the weekend turns into a steamy one spent locked in a hotel room. Slight problem...she was already married. She didn…
Well, this is why I don't play drums. It's the best Moon I could pull off. I keep hammering the gtr riff over and over, but it's because it was so much fun to play. Its structure is a little too meandering in hindsight, but oh well. For whatever…
The riff came to me in a flash and was probably the first time I recorded an idea on my (then) new micro-cassette player. It was supposed to be one of those spoken songs, complete with 70's backing vocals. I don't know if I pulled it off, but…

So, I start playing my Guild acoustic. However, the strings were new and had gone all slackish, meaning down a few tones. I liked what it sounded like and took them all off. I then restrung the gtr with super heavy guage acoustic strings. I then…

It aint like no ones done this before
But how can you tire of beautiful chords
In the fifties
In Tenessee
Where my love
was born
Two young men upped and

Can i get a little whisky in this water said John
The day the world stopped being fair
I didnt know what to say so I said yeah.
I poured a double whisky and I placed it in his hand
And said friend, only true friends understand
He said friend…
Well I been playing the blues for so long
Kinda feel like playing jazz x 2
I dig the random instrumentation.
Play this in eight over three and a half
I been playing the blues for so long, make me feel like tryna rap x 2
I think I'll call…
Hey Alex...this track made me turn green with envy. Your voice is f***ing awesome. The trade-off of the gtr and the keys is perfect, well balanced. Laid back back-beat groove. Yeah, just checked the mirror, I am pure green.
Cheers,
Gary
Jay, you should try to get movie soundtrack work. This song would be great for some of the darker horror movies. You really have an original flair, and this screams "Welcome to my altered state, dark, dark world." Brilliant. DO something with this music, it needs to be out there.
This track was born out of an annual project or "artbomb" at New Year's, where a bunch of artists get together, pick a word or "theme" and all upload our musical interpretations of said word or theme. This was from a couple of years ago when the…
I love the dark, moody tone of this one. There is a certain cacophony happening here, but in a sort of creative destruction way. It has that non sequiter feeling of a real dream. That's challenging to do, and I think you pulled it off.
John Lennon started it with God pt.I, U2 followed with God pt.II, and I was presumptuous enough to think I could do God pt.III. A wee nod here and there to the first two tracks with my own twist.

Ok, I just got a little greener. I love big soaring songs like this. So open, so wide. Great song Alex, great song.
Another great song...it sounds like Blind Faith wants to be you. I love the tone of this song. The gtr riffs are pure ear candy. Very tasty.

Love the gtrs, dark, vibrato tones. Cool Tom Waits vibe here with the vox. This is cool Jay, very cool.
