I worked on this one off and on through ’05 and ‘06. I did numerous demos of it (just me and an acoustic) before finally recording it proper. Originally I intended it as a slower, more ethereal (read:reverby) piece, but it just wasn’t cutting it. The last part with all the double time stuff was just a lark at the time, but I decided to leave it in since it was so off-the-wall.
