spider silk of the stars
heard me playing the ghost dobro
saw me slip through the bars
to quench my fevered glow
her allure was practiced and warm
and all the pretty horses arose
I wore her on my wrist like a charm
it was time well-spent, I suppose
when I look at the seeds I’ve sown
even after all these cigarettes
she glows like the Philosopher’s Stone
well, I harbor no regrets
I put on a bit of cologne
and strum our song on the frets
to make sure she knows she’s the scone
and I’m a Little Teapot, I guess
down on my luck for a while
took me into her heart
but tribulations and trials
were all we found from the start
fell to the shadowy lands
where time splits a person in two
she pulled me out with invisible hands
so I bid farewell to that crew
when I look at the seeds I’ve sown
even after all these cigarettes
she glows like the Philosopher’s Stone
well, I harbor no regrets
I put on a bit of cologne
and strum our song on the frets
to make sure she knows she’s the scone
and I’m a Little Teapot, I guess
