Jim Wearne added some lyrics to our local Hurling song, and I had the privilege of playing it with him when he came over from America last year.

I've been trying to think of some lyrics for this riff for ages.
Then along come Super Bethan, who also gave me the melody.
Many, many thanks.

Oh little girl won't you tell me what you were looking for when you came to this place?
You've got friends, but not many of them like to be seen.

So I dropped the guitar into DADGAD tuning for the first time, threw a capo on the third fret, rifled off something nice, and sent it to Movement to Contact for his contribution, got it back, did some mixing...

Wrote this one yesterday. If your reading this in a weeks time, eight days ago. I know the long notes wobble a bit. But need a little more confidence to give it stick.

When I was little I used to wait to hear the song as the men came back when I should have been asleep. "We roll, we roll, the town's/country ball we roll". I had to know who won. This is a wonderful, authentic, Cornish flavoursome song and a pleasure to listen to.
Have owned a pub in Cornwall for sixteen years. I was in a heavy rock band called Chain Reaction in the early 80’s. I was on Bass and my girlfriend, (now wife), was on the keyboards. I like making up riffs but don’t know much about writing lyrics. So if any body has any ideas please feel free to add some.
