Probably anyone who plays the guitar could write this song....
Someone asked if I was actually in Spain in 2003. Actually, 2000. Working on the movie, THE STONE RAFT with George Sluizer, from a book by Jose Saramago.
Inspired by something Jenni…
Another wonderful song. Interesting flow from verse to verse. Nice repetitive chorus. Were you in the North of Spain in 2003 or was that just poetic license? This Alonetone sight is the best I've seen for hearing your songs.

...for they do not have to face another tomorrow...
BLESSED ARE THE DEAD
Blessed are the dead for they shall not be lonely
Blessed are the dead for they will not be sad
Blessed are the dead for they shall have no longings
Nothing lost…
TRAIL OF TEARS was not a metaphor. It was an American Holocaust. Michael Jeffrey helped me with this track.
TRAIL OF TEARS

CHORUS - Well, the trees…
...for they do not have to face another tomorrow...
BLESSED ARE THE DEAD
Blessed are the dead for they shall not be lonely
Blessed are the dead for they will not be sad
Blessed are the dead for they shall have no longings
Nothing lost…

gallons and quarts and sometimes smiles, but I got a measure that I made up: I measure my orange juice by the "blub, blub, blub.".

I don't see myself in shiny mirrors
I don't see myself in sunny skies
And I won't see myself
Until I see myself again in Peggy's Eyes.
Once upon a time there was a reason for the rhyme
There was some silver in the dime . I remember

People had been requesting this song for years. I decided to write it.
It's the most requested song in Tarrant county
It's a song that I had never heard before
But I always try to sing the songs folks ask for
and that' for sure…
Lee Snaples
And I've never heard you do this live because...
James Michael Taylor
...because. I've never sung it except when I was recording it as I "wrote" it. Are you suggesting I should?
You might notice that it's been on line since 2007 and not one comment.
SLAUGHTER MOUNTAIN

James Michael Taylor awesome 💞 Your song is incredibly beautiful and soulful. My fav part was your narrative at the beginning. Haunting. My sister's name is Loretta 💕 My mom ....chose her namesake to tag her beautiful baby girl. Time. Goes. By.
For some reason this one demanded to be written...
So here's to all of us that have been in this situation a time or two! Hugs and love to us all!!!

Your mission this month is twofold:
1. Try creating a boundary between the production of content versus the judging…
I haven't listened to this for a while. Still knocks me out. Amazing presence. If this is not multitracked, if this is one of your coffee table productions, it... nope. No way. Every element is crisp. Flawless delivery. Master vocal. Pristine guitars...da da.

I said, "Where I put things when I find a place for them."

You were talking about Salvation art earlier-- Although this is great in its own right as to what it gives to others, I can see the processing that was going on in letting this go, in a kind of creation. Just beautiful! Gwyn Henry
