I was listening to the first wondering how you were going to get guitar and bass into it... and there they were :-)
Huge sound, works really well. Vocals get a bit lost in it for my money - but I was listening to the guitars by then!!
Wow...Andrew you are too kind. As a teen I would fall asleep too Electric ladyland or Axis...etc...maybe in some weird way it subliminally affected me...haa!
Back for another listen. I went to bed buzzing last night because of this. Over breakfast, the missus had to put up with me explaining and miming the virtues of this performance... (poor girl)
That entry at 1:19 - crumbs. And 3:38 til the end... And the end itself... It sounds so "live" that I'm expecting crowd noises!
Woof! Lovely.
When you want to do it, you've got the "expressive Hendrix" thing completely and utterly pegged - how to play it and how to record it - I'm in awe.
I know guitarists - and you probably do too - who'll sit around saying "oh so-and-so just copies Jimi/SRV/whoever" ... don't ever listen to them - they're just jealous lol. They bought the right gear, the pedals, whatever, and they still can't make the sound...
You've got it in the fingers/brain/soul, and I find it a joy to listen to.
Magnificent stuff.
This is one of the things I was fiddling with when I sang Me and Bobby McGee as a distraction last week.
I'm working on finding out how to get acoustic stuff down consistently and effectively within the confines of what I've got here - I wasn…
lots of different things I tried in this one, mostly in structure and vox, as well as harmony and texture. I guess it is a progressive type song with some gloom.
the intro is a short bass thing with effects called nectar, its like 25 sec.s…
Dystopian Anthem

Together we strive
United, we divide
the night fire we've made

We gain what we earn

family, we all share
In this world to create
Revolution is Coming

we've come full circle again
can you feel the waves of sin
my friends
we've come full circle again
do you feel the pain, like me?

Greg let me have another go at one of his songs and I the wrote the words and music for a bridge
so that way he has to pay me some royalties when he sells a million !!! lol thanks Greg for your inspiration and great music!!
A little banjo-centric parody of the old Irving Berlin song, written after more than a week in -20 C. temps in northwest Russia. Brrr. And Merry Christmas.
Just in time for the big 2012 election!
*** BANJO WARNING ***
Just me and me banjo.
Inspired by a story my journalist daughter in Moscow just published. She was too small when we moved to Russia to remember that politicians shaking hands…
A little tune to help me get through the winter ... used my 63 Fender Jazzmaster for the guitar tracks. This guitar has been with me through thick and thin and just gets better with age.

Wake up in the morning, I’m still in my cloths
I got one eye open but the other wont go
Barely can remember the night before
Except for how you threw me out the door
Whiskey, Whiskey, Whiskey
I think I’m in trouble again…

I like the tune! I saw G3 in '97.
Very nice guitar playing, thanks for the song comments!
OK... I've got to dust my strats off now (I've been enticed away by a cute 335 recently).
Thank you my friend. I have never been much of a shred meister but I try to at least phrase my lead lines to fit within the song.

Epic journey goin on. Well done.
Surreal vision here. Very fitting.
Dig the message. It where we are at.
Simply Incredible. Blown away.
Love that spring reverb. Right on the money with the mid 60's rock sound. Killer.
Solid. Keepin it alive.
Wondering how you came up with that melody.
This is epic...must have missed this one. Futuristic and ominous.
A picker extraordinaire.
This is solid. Your voice is perfect for this style. Clever writing to boot.
Classy. Love the chimey tones. The horn section at the end adds a nice vintage sound. Really warm feel overall that fits the theme Winter.
Some nice songwriting. The way country music was supposed to be.
Unique and distinct style you guys have.
Cool tune.
Taking guitar to a whole different level. Love how that percussive finger tapping morphed into almost a tabla sound against those swells.
