kavin's tonefreakin' podcast #1
kavin.
My first crack at doing a podcast. Made up of musicians who I am lucky enough to know personally. WARNING:explicit lyrics at about the 13 minute mark. In order of appearance:
Hentai Improvising Orchestra “Track 8” background
Brantley Allen “El Paso, Friday”
Harper “Shots of Tequila”
Sean Martin “Blue Whale”
Carlos the Non-Prophet “Lunatic Fringe”
Fingerz Freinemy (unkown track name)
Hentai Improvising Orchestra “Track 4”
Darrin Kobetich “Twin Falls”
Woodbilly Jugband “Me ’n the Snake”
Michael James “Unsent Letters”
I'm a podcast junkie, but don't have any good guitar podcasts (well, maybe Pat Metheny)...can't wait to download this one to my iPhone.
@NebulonicAlchemy Using Logic express. With all the good feedback, thinking about doing another, maybe in the fall. Thanks!
just noticed it's 42 megs. What do you use for audio editing?
thanks for your comment :) u actually made it HALF way through?? I'm impressed. This is a great podcast...I mean, TONEFREAKING podcast. Love the songs you chose to showcase. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to download this and listen when I can take the time to enjoy it more. I'm wiped out yet again.
The Hentai track in the middle reminds me of Miles Davis in his electric period, without the horn. I meant to mention that in the program but forgot...thanks HIO
That's Matt Hembree playing bass on the HIO tracks. Matt Hickey transported his recording rig from the barn in Weatherford to mi casa and twiddled the knobs as well as performing. - Ken Shimamoto
Nicely done, pal. Thanks for inlcuding us! Let us buy you a beer at the Bull and Bush sometime. - The boys in HIO
Oh yeah Kavin great podcast mate, hope you do more this is excellent very cool. You have found your calling. Brilliant.
Thanks, yawl. I am fortunate to have many talented friends, at alonetone, and in the "real" world.
Wow, I really enjoyed this, Kavin. And the rain at around 37 mins added a great intimate feel! It's like I'm over at your place, going through your rekkids. Would love to hear more podcasts like this from you. Just great.
PS - Husband's just pointed out that you sound like Harrison Ford...and he's (unusually) right!
Today I will begin my campaign to get you a late night radio show! This is an awesome podcast - will definitely be listening again and again.
I must say I do like your speaking voice. First off I thought, this is very long, and now I can honestly say I have been royally entertained. Thanks. ps it rains in Texas then!
