All Those Who Wander

A simple as it is musically, this song pretty much sums it all up for me. What started as the simple appreciation of a hiking t-shirt evolved into this song about the duality of this domesticated artist who recognizes the importance of wandering… “Even now I still need to be wild and free, jeans rolled up to my knees.”

I believe in the air in high places
I can see all those who wander are not lost
I still need to feel the open spaces
To try to know what grace is
Not matter what the cost

Can’t you see as the daylight’s fading
Wild and free, this is the place that I belong
Up to my knees as you watch me wading
Can you feel me shading
That blinding light with my song

Can’t you see even now I still need
To be wild and free jeans rolled up to my knees
I believe I’ve finally learned to see
No matter what the cost
All those who wander are not lost
