Too Late
Keith Landry
Wrote this one from an interesting perspective. Found a nice little hook and didn’t mess with it - sometimes sparse arranging is best.
TOO LATE
Time had a funny way of passing
That time I first looked in your eyes
I thought it might be everlasting
Till it was passing me by
I thought it was still early, and you believed in fate
But by the time I knew you were what I needed
It was too late
To me, your name’s the same as now or never
I never spoke it with you in the room
In a world where films can ruin names forever
I’m afraid they’ll ruin your name soon
I thought it was still early, and I believed in fate
But by the time your name was the one I needed
It was too late
I thought it was still early - Why did I wait?
By the time I knew you were what I needed
It was too late
