Was playing around in VCV Rack, trying to build a generative patch so the synth would make music on its own. (Can’t remember if I used one of Omri Cohen’s VCV patches as a starting point, or was just following along with one of his videos. Either way - great instruction and inspiration!)

I inadvertently set one row on the sequencer to play intervals that sounded kinda like the tone sequence from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Oops! I liked the result, so I added randomized drums and voice samples, and made the synth play something besides the recognizable tones every once in a while.
