CURSE OF EDEN
Gene Eric Mann
Political Folk tune featuring Starry Nightmoth on baby grand piano, pan flute, KB “strings” and intro voice. About the blatant environmental destruction humans are committing against Mother Nature/Earth.
Curse of Eden
Why did you heed the Temptor’s word?
And taken of the fruits of gods?
You disobeyed the truth you heard.
And now we’ll ever be at odds
The Earth is cursed because of you
And as you live, the rest shall die
You’re weeds and thorns in all we do
You harvest with a battle cry
Since the days your sons were born
Your pain has only grown
Now you’ve earned your children’s scorn
So now you’re on your own
You eat the bread of wayward sons
Your cities grow, our forests burn
You rape the land and shoot your guns
To ash and dust you shall return
What have you done among the animals?
You’ve fed your dung to every living thing
And now you split the basic particles
And now we war against this threat you bring
What have we done in spite of what it brings?
We’ve lived on dust to split the particles
And so we slay to hold to all these things
And now we war against the animals
