I came across your letter
The one where you said we were forever
Our love was intense then and new
My world was full of beautiful you
If I think too hard about it
Find it hard to live without it
Every verb and every noun
Every street in your home town
Keeps the memory alive
Keeps you there inside my mind
I came across the letter
The one which told me you felt better
But you needed time on your own
You’d rather we didn’t remain together
If I think too hard about it
Find it hard to rationalise it
Every verb and every noun
Every street in your home town
Keeps the memory alive
Keeps you there inside my mind
When I think of all the times (I can still remember)
When we walked and talked for miles (I can still remember)
When you just broke down and cried (I can still remember)
And the fear behind you eyes (I can still remember)
Still Remember…
I was just reading The Note
It breaks my heart to read what you wrote
What did you go through that night?
How many demons beset your mind?
I couldn’t help you, wasn’t there
You were alone in you despair
Now it’s cold and empty in my world
But for the memery of a tragic, beautiful girl
