You shouldn't try to keep your secrets
And then just run off to confess
I'm sure you've got your own reasons
To fight the movement to suppress
Acting parts in your own theatre
But going blind under the spotlight
(Chorus)
Even though it's all…
With the flick of a switch when the light ran away
And the last scraps of daylight abandoned
Instead of feeling secure inside the cozy retreat
There were noises just outside on the landing
When the shadows crept through the deepening gloom
A twinkle…
Ditty #9 for the RPMC album "Bones".
I'd had this rolling around in my head for about a year now, and even played it live with the SD&Q trio. Didn't quite turn out as planned, which is not unusual.
I drove past Canobie Lake in Salem, NH the other day and I suddenly had this title for the RPM project pop into my head. Showdown at Canobie Lake Park. Think of it as 3:00 High only set in front of an awesome wooden roller coaster.
Well, it IS!
lyrics for my Italian friends:
We're gonna be there in your wake
mending the seams when they start to break
make you do what you said that you would
and other words that rhyme with good
once so close why let it go, baby…
Holiday song written and recorded for the RPM Holiday Challenge 2011. This is about a California transplant waxing nostalgic about Christmas in New England.

i like the way the guitar excites the bands under the snare drum - sounds like you guys are in the corner of my room here...nice sounds - great playing
They were Black and Blue but finally Elvis got up and did his stint in the Live in the Living room fest....................................it was good practice for his strumming, cause by god does he need it.....but no one dare tell him…
Hey reg!love the ElvisJagger here...well done. And thank you for the continued support of the orphan tracks. Getting the occasional messages really make our day. Thank You and keep rockin!
You never would have caught me playing this genre a few years ago. WHat the hell happened ??
All the instruments were recorded with an open mic at my house. Which, as you know is always a chaotic place to record :) If you listen hard enough…
Comments on Orphans's stuff
Wow. This one has a nice chemistry to it - the whole thing meshes well. I particularly like the vocal buildup around the 4:45 mark until the end.
Nice turnaround, off the wall but i like it.
i dig the cow punk!
catchy, but unusual to my ears. Good stuff.
Take me to the party immediately.

I don't know why I like this one so much but I do - Snow PS. That was me who commented on Go Away too (no surprise , right?)
