i like writing "small" songs. not short, small. this song feels small to me. hence the ukelele.

jesse tricked me into playing slide on this. didn't tell me he hit "record". good, since i would have worried about messing up his song.

sometimes when you listen to one musician exclusively for an extended period of time you try to write a song as if you were that musician.
