[in the end]
Eugene Hammond's Ramshackle Black Packard
This was the very first Eugene Hammond track; indeed, the track that inspired me to start this up as a separate and distinct project from everything else in the first place. I revisited this track last month, rebuilding it from the ground up. It’s a little more streamlined and concise. Economical. It went from 18:00 and change down to 12:00, without really losing much. PLUS, now it has a wordy part!!!
[in the end]
For just one moment, if the wind is just right,
I can feel old memories calming me.
I lay down, in the furrows and boughs of cold misfortune.
Having been lost and exhumed, and with a sense of how the stars unfold, as hands pull at me in until I follow; then their sweet letting go, I cannot recall any time but now, any way but down, any place but here…
I let you smother me. I let you take me home. Don’t let them uncover me. Keep me safe in this hole.
love the introduction...and then...
Thanks for the comment, I was going to ask you what "smelly cat" was, then I googled it. These computer thingies are just so darned smart.
wow. I love a good song thats got an intro about as long as the average pop song.
Woof! nearly skipped this one (what with 12 minutes written on it). SO glad I didn't. Loved how it built and then took me off places.
