Show You the Way
We are ending the 2021 National Solo Album Month on a high note, as I actually kinda like this one. It started out as a little arpeggio picking warm up I was doing one day and it turned into a song. I don’t think I have the dynamics quite right. The bass volume doesn’t vary at all, but it’s not a real bass so whatever. The vocal volume doesn’t vary either but that’s because I am a horrible singer. Oh well. I really like the vocal part in the chorus though, or whatever passes for a chorus in this one.
Guitars are all Gibson Les Paul Standard into a Vox MV50 Clean. The pedals on the rhythm tracks are a cheap-o Joyo Vintage Phrase into a Ryra The Klone, which isn’t cheap at all. The leads were the same signal chain only without the phaser.
Verse 1 & 3
So you know
that I told you so
out of time
waiting for a sign
on the brink
does it make you think
on the run
so let’s have some fun
Chorus
I’ve come to show you
I’ve come to show you the way
I’ve come to tell you
I’ve come to tell you the way it is
Verse 2
Come around
to the underground
see the show
make believe you know
lacking tact
so you just react
over come
what have we begun
