Sometimes You Just Find Out
2024 RPM Challenge idea number five becomes completed song number two.
This one is okay. The key change in bar number 66 is my favorite thing about it but I like the chorus too. Not a great song, but probably good enough to make this year’s album submission.
All of the guitar tracks are my Les Paul Custom (with shiny new frets!) and the amps are a Fender Bassbreaker 15 and a Vox MV50 Clean, both of which used their direct output with speaker emulation, unfortunately. The pedals for the rhythm tracks were a Klon KTR into a Keeley D&M Drive. The leads used a Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian into the KTR into a Seymour Duncan Vapor Trails.
Chorus
I wasn’t looking
Some times you just find out
It wasn’t working
What was it all about
Verse 1 and 3
All the time
Sort of like us
Give a smile
don’t make a fuss
Bridge
Nowhere left to go
Verse 2
Do you think
you know the way
down we sink
what do you say
Break
Come on
Go on
It’s on
Come along
