IV
The fourth piece in my ‘Dissolving into Noise’ collection IV was made entirely with my new Reaktor instrument “Yottskry” (see the demo video for more info on Yotskry).
I used Yotskry standalone with 4 samples: a reversed bass loop, a glass sound, a drum loop, and a piano loop.
I introduced the sounds in succession, doing some basic parameter tuning with each. Once all four sounds are established I played with the shelf & delay settings and the LissaLFO.
Finally I turned over the granular delay & freeze controls to the new master freezer (which got added after the demo video was made).
This instrument is still very much a work in progress. I’m having fun making & playing with it and finding interesting sounds to feed to it. This, in turn, is feeding back into the further design of the instrument.
I expect to make it available to anyone who wants to play with it this weekend and upload it to the Reaktor UL by the end of March.
