Lawbreaker
Mr Sandbags
This is one track where I can say, without reservation, that I am really happy with how it came out.
I worked up a beat I liked with 3 Stylus RMX parts making good use of chaos and time designer for the breaks.
For the first time I really put some effort into the arrangement and creating a breakdown. While I am very much a beginner in this aspect of production I think it broadly works here.
I found a bass I liked which I later made a bit more crunchy using NI Guitar Rig. I layered a filtered drone over that.
The samples came from a 1951 educational movie “Right or Wrong? (Making Moral Decisions) (1951)” from the Prelinger Archives.
Lastly I created some fills using a woodblock sound, a drying rack sound, and a preset from FabFilter Twin-2. I’m quite pleased with the way that last part, simple as it is, seems to lift the ending nicely.
After that it was a case of tweaking the arrangement and the filters to get things to sit together in the mix.
Not too many effects used on this one, a bit of Dubstation, Volcano 2, and Nitro but - for me - quite a low dose.
Hope you like it.
Damn fine or my name isn't Kintekobo - The wolf with a dressing up box!

See what happens when you start clowning around :D This is really something. I have to listen again.
Yes- I think you hit the proverbial nail on the freakin' head with this one. Love the beat and that crunchy bass
