CACTUS FLOWER 1977 - COWTOWN by TEXAS WATER

Uploaded .

My daughter, Wyn, sings
a song I wrote in 1977
while I was doing a gig
at the Ramada Inn in
Laredo.

Harmonies are by her mother,
Barbara Anne Taylor and step
mother, Peggy Ann Mitchell.

The guitar solo and keys are
by my son, Rabyn James.

CACTUS FLOWER

Cactus flower smiling. Simple song of life
Never in a bouquet, gathered for a wife

Cactus flower growing in a land so dry
Nowhere to be going, smiles a simple, “Hi.”

Cactus flower smiling says that it’s ok
Nothing lasts forever so let’s not miss today.
