It’s been made painfully clear, that life’s not fair
The rich get richer –– the poor poorer –– no one cares
This treadmill that we know as life has got me beat –– well
Why can’t I get a miracle that puts me back on my feet?

It makes me wonder –– why God loves me cause I don’t think he likes me
They keep on sayin’ –– that God loves me but I don’t think he likes me

Who’s in charge of repairing my life cause it’s definitely not me
All alone in this boat got no life preserver and I’m drifting out to sea
I’ve done my best but it’s doing no good so it’s got me down –– well
Still I haven’t given up but I could use your help with turning things around

I sit and wonder –– why God loves me cause I don’t think he likes me
