“The Road” by Wilson Ng, written and recorded in February 2022 for the RPM Challenge.
Outtake from the 2022 RPM Challenge Sessions. 95% of the lyrics are from an AI lyrics songwriting generator, I changed a few lines to fit the song. The entire…
“Shine” by Wilson Ng, written and recorded in February 2022 for the RPM Challenge.
Outtake from the 2022 RPM Challenge Sessions. Just one of those songs that doesn't seem to work. Wanted to recut the vocals because they were basically scratch…
RPM 2k22
never need to convince myself
I always knew
surrounded by you
I am at peace where I am
can you say it too
the past is a clue
stop waiting, for things to change
just change, anything that you want
change, anything that you…
Open your eyes for the revolution
May not have seen it coming, but it’s here
Open your mind to the revelation
It’s time for a digital transformation
Open your world
It isn’t a change that you saw coming
And You won’t take part, just…
This song is about the RPM Challenge; having 28 days (yes, I cheated, this year we get 29) to write and record a 10 song album. The illustrious Ghost Tea (http://soundcloud.com/ghosttea) added some rhymes to make it extra special!
On first blush I got a Napoleon Dynamite vibe because of the keys. But it's way cooler than that. Awesome vocals, drums and keys. A head bobber for sure. Easily one of the best RPM songs about RPM. Oh, and those rap sections -- hell yeah!!
Love your vocal. Can't put my finger on who you sound like and it's driving me crazy! Great drums and great keyboard driven songs. Track three and so far a VERY listenable album.
If you have the fever and the only cure is more tambourine, here it is.
MORE TAMBOURINE SOLOS!! (But you should probably wait until you have the house to yourself...)
Summer Grass- I didn’t originally intend for this to be the title track, but since most, though not all, of the songs on this album sound like summer to me, I decided, why not? The guitar even sounds humid and warm, but in that nice July way…
I couldn't get anything right today so I just mashed through a guitar track and overlayed vocals. But now I kind of like the song so it will have to be redone.
So sit back and relax, don't shower or shave and have a beer!
Swill A Beer

Another Sunday cover, this time putting an acoustic spin on one of my favorite tunes from RPM2010 - Communist Party by the great Sha-Pink. This song marks the first time I've ever used live percussion.
Part 1 - Hotel & Backstory.
Hotel.
In which Johnny tries to betray Angela, whose suspicions are raised when Jenny calls.
Backstory.
In which we learn about Julia's involvement in the affair.

So Jennifer sits…
There's no point in reviewing your songs individually. What can one say about your music that hasn't already been said? It's all just so stupifying. Why aren't you world famous? (then again, maybe you are and I'M the one out of the loop.) Nevertheless -- love your stuff. Every freakin' perfectly place note!

Woohoo, this is my anthem! Well, except for expecting my software to fix things. Nobody's made a "suck less" ap for iPhone mastering.

Not too shabby
Great laid back opening track.
Very nice, happy little rocker here. Great singing.
More than 10 years later and I still love this song.

Two for two. This is one groovy track.
Are covers allowed without the artist's/owners permission?
In yo FACE Tracy Partridge!!!
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!
Cool. Nice laid back vocals. Reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel.
Nice. I must say, really, really, nice.
"The Chipmunks" meets "It's a Small World."
Yes. You, an acoustic, some smart lyrics and a catchy tune. That is a formula that works for me.

I was going to say this is my favorite track but that actually comes a few songs down the line. Still, I like this ode to toys quite a lot.
You know Tim, I really like you on these little acoustic songs. Just you and the guitar. This might be your thing. Very nice.
This may by my favorite track on this album. It's so Zepplinesque. A totally different color from the rest of the tracks. Nice singing too.
"There's a Nun, a dwarf, and a traffic map. And you don't want to know where the map is at." Legen (wait for it) dary lyrics!!
