Listening to this I see icicles melting as the sun comes up and the melted water flows into the gutter and then into the storm drain.....cars pass by and people run to the bus stop. Watch the passing storefronts as the town wakes up. Very evocative.
Vocals: Tricia Dovidio

This one was tricky to do because the piano does not play at a fixed tempo, and it was an online collaboration (like all my collaborations).
A pop/rock tune in the veins of the 80s. At least that was the goal.

Another goodie...
Thoroughly enjoyable listen to all of your tracks on here so far...
I'm amazed at all the different styles you take on and succeed at.
This one started while I was commenting All I Do Is Cry ... and it didn't grab me initially.
But when I started concentrating... crumbs, this excellent. Really interesting melody and chords, and boy does he navigate his way around it well.
I had to click favourite by the time it finished! Brilliant.

Ah... I heard this the other day, didn't I?
I've got two more of yours to go at the moment, but this is my personal FAVOURITE so far.
I assume it's Tricia Dovidio on the vocal again? I think I loves her voice and delivery... :-)

I'm glad this song finally got finished. I had lost the synth draft and with it…
Like the song, love the song, but you're right, I think there's a better a mix in there - it's almost like the lead vocal dominates the track too much... try thinning him out a bit mebbe? Seems a shame to do it though, he's got such a good rich voice :-)

Oh yeah, this is a special one.
He's an excellent lead vocalist, absolutely superb. The song stays sung when he's sung it! Not so convinced that he ought to do his own bvox based on this one though? I felt his lead wanted a different texture to go with it.
Having said that though - wow! The song, the performances, the recording... Superb :-)

Oh yeah... love this. I quite like songs that don't have a fixed tempo - sounds more natural to me... but they're a pain to overdub to though!!
I'm with Mr Landry - where do you find all these vocalists?!! I particularly like this one.

This song is meant to be the intro, set the stage, and talk about the direction of the album. The riff came to me while I was absent-mindedly noodling on my gtr in front of the idiot box one day. I knew at that point I had an album opener of a…
I struggled to get this thing completed. I've been sat on it for weeks, finished, debating whether I was really prepared to let it go.
I loved the song when I wrote it, inspired by a wonderful week at the end of September. But the recording…
With Big Time Operator, who originally uploaded his awesome music with the offer that anyone can add vocals...too good to miss! Love this music, and had loads of fun wailing. Thanks Chris!

I wasn't going to post this - it's the original demo that the finished version is based on. This is the same lead vocal and resonator part that's on the full version - no EQ or anything, just the naked tracks. There's two bars of silence before…
Here's a new one. Well, a new old one, actually... And a bit different than the last one!
Something old, something new, something borrowed, and, er, something blue...

Thanks for listening, guys!
I just fixed a problem with the kick (some dropouts) and cleaned up the low end a little. I cannot hear very well though, so I'll have to leave the final touches for later.
An acoustic short song I just made up, I kept it very basic by only using my little Höhner guitar with nylon strings of which I recorded two layers. I hope you will enjoy my song ! Warm regards from Anna.
BTW: nice to see you again, Anna! :)
I remember this song. The pure acoustic version still works best for me.
(Get rid of that extreme reverb - it makes you sound like you were standing in a central station and kills your great songs. )
A quick song I made up out of nowhere, hence the title "Somewhere out there" LOL... Everything you hear is me apart from the drums, as usual. I hope you enjoy my bedroom recording... Warm regards, Anna

nice and quiet, love this one
Very pretty. And sad.

Beautiful song with wonderful vocal.
Love the vocal. Very nice!
Very classy track. I love everything about it.
This track is wonderful. What a vocal delivery!
Lovely vocal and the piano accompaniment is perfect.
Very pretty and tinkly.
Ah, cut him loose young lady. You don't need him with a voice like that! Lovely song and beautiful music Stoman, wonderful collaboration.
Ah! Another Tricia Dovidio vocal - yesss... Got any more? :-) Love the organ... but I'm a sucker for a hammondy tone
Yep, lovely stuff, this works as it is for me
Wistful and airy! Lovely stuff!
This is one of my favourites of yours Steffen. Love it !

You can write songs about anything and anybody, and they will always make sense and sound great! :)
Beautiful, like all your songs!
One of the best songs I've ever heard on music portals. I've listened to it a lot, and I still love it.
Almost all your songs are very good IMO, and I often enjoy them when I drive to work.
Great 70s rock! :)
Forget Bowie! You have a very unique style, actually. :)
Is this an unpublished recording of Bowie from the psychedelic early 70s? :D
Great songwriting, as usual! The mix needs some EQ, it's a little "thick", and the drums don't quite suit the song IMO. But nonetheless, great job!
Nice! You have an interesting voice that suits the song very well.
I think Rick left some comments on songs of mine, but we never really talked to each other. What a pity to know that we never will.
Another great song!
Very well done!
Only the good die young. :(
Groooovy! :) I do hear some ZZ Top there, too!
Classical folk at its best. Wonderful songwriting, James!
Sell this to Jimmy Buffett! :)
I downloaded this ages ago and finally got around to listening to it. And I'm glad I did, because it's GREAT! :=
