We did four versions of this song - all with different guitars (or combinations thereof). This is version 2, my own favorite version.

I like this.
Whether it's intentional or not, I have to admit I imagined lots of glittery costumes, long hair, beards, and possibly make-up... (and Whispering Bob Harris introducing them on the good ole Old Grey Whistle Test) lol

This is a little folk/shanty tune that started as a quick little instrumental draft and…
This is an old song that I finally remixed. All intruments are synthesizers, so there were only three of us this time.
The song is based on a free-form poem by Grant D. McLeman from Scotland that he had sent to me to put it to music.

This song was written on guitar by Kari Eskola from Finland. He sent me his guitar track along with this fantastic vocal recording by Emmi Inkeri asking me to replace the guitar with a piano accompaniment.
I tried my best, knowing that I'm not…

Like "Wish" this song was an attempt by me to put a free-form poem by Grant…
I like the other songs of yours (those I've listened to so far) a little better, but this one sure is a very good song too. Nice listen. :)
Regards,
Steffen
Great job! Please tell us a little bit about your songs. Who does what (singer/instruments/composition/production), and maybe what the story behind them is, if there is one.
Reg was reading the paper today about the Spandex vigilante. Now Reg has got himself sorted becoming a superhero appeals to him. Ummmm about the suit i think it should be Blue to match my eyes with a large TTR motif of some sort on the chest in…
A little fun riff that came from noodling on my Epi whilst watching the idiot box one night. It's kind of written for a friend who is a little lost in a self-imposed exile from life.
One of my first favorite songs...I had this idea floating around for years, even tried it with the band in late 98-99. This 2001 recording comes closest to capturing what I hear in my head.
This one seems to have a lot more dynamic range than the other ones. Suits me better as I'm not usually a "loud guy" ... Great 60s/70s touch again. Just the way I like it! :)
I was thinking about Haiti...
i don't know what to say
i don't know how to feel
when i'm way over here
and things are going well
my house is standing still
my friends are still alive
the smell of spring is in the air
and i just can't connect…
Written for a friend of mine.
be and i will be with you
you are a light house in this storm
you will overcome
you will overcome this storm
don't fear the wall for you will climb upon it.
you will see from higher ground
and the sun…
New one from me. It's ended up as a bit of a "crying into yer beer at Bob's Country Bunker" sort of song lol...
I've been sat on these lyrics in some form or another for absolutely years. I first wrote them one very dark night a few years after…
Your best song so far - IMO. And all the others were great too. But this one has that wonderful blues-gospel feel that grips you from the very first note.
I'll listen to this song a lot more times, no doubt about that.
Comments on stoman's stuff
Great arrangement - lovely tone!
Excellent stuff! Brill.
Very smooth. Lovely live feel. Fine song and arrangement. And what a voice the man has! :-)
Good form, good song very well done.
Brilliant! Spinal Tap must be seething with envy...
Excellent throughly enjoyed.....

Cool song...
Ooo yeah, like this one. A lovely "tight but loose" feel.
Not convinced he sounds like David Essex - ok, a bit maybe - but he's got a fabulous voice. And his guitar playing's rather tasteful too. Nice one.
very cool, tight song. reminds me of nice cross between Adrian Belew and INXS.
Very nice..."another place and another time..."
Nice song
A good piece of work I can easily hear this asd a song behind a film or TV offering.
very nice piece
Love that change on "not to see"... So pretty. So sad.
I like it. It just bounces along effortlessly.
This is a beautiful song, and the piano and voice are wonderful.
Very pretty composition indeed Steffen with lovely vocal and lyrics from Paul. Bethan
Super vocal and I enjoyed the piano work as well. Lovely track! Bethan

Great song, my friend! I think this is my favorite one of yours.
You won't make me a country fan, but I sure enjoyed all your songs. Great vocals, btw! :) Regards, Steffen

Another solid country-rock tune. Your songs should all be played on country radio.
You are definitely a master of your trade. This song has a nice, foot-tapping rhythm. Regards, Steffen
Very nice country-rock. Country the way I like it - and that excludes a lot of country songs. :) Regards, Steffen

Gotta love this one! ;)

Sounds more like 1982 to be. ;) :P Either way it sounds superb. You have achieve a level of professionalism that most of us will never achieve.
All your songs are wonderful because of that great, great voice.
This is really lovely. Downloaded! :)
I'll have to listen to all your other songs later. Sound really great.
Great music with a wonderfully authentic 70s vibe to it!

I knew you are a great songwriter, Errol. With these tracks you uploaded you prove it again.
I'm not a country fan, Errol, but you might be able to convert me. :) Sounds great all around.
