Wandamen Death Wailing A

Wandamen people of Papua, Indonesia have a sing-song poetic style only used in death wails during mourning ritual. This material was recorded in 1989 and may represent language/expression not heard today, as only aged wailers could express the ancient words, and they too, have passed on.
