Wandamen people of Papua, Indonesia have a sing-song poetic style only used in death wails during mourning ritual. This material was recorded in 1989 and may represent language/expression not heard today, as only aged wailers could express the ancient words, and they too, have passed on. You will notice several distinct voices among those crying, moaning, wailing, etc. My indepth article can be read at https://www.academia.edu/6123353/Wandamen_Poetic_Language_Obsolescence_Demise_of_a_Death_Wailing_Tradition

This death occured in Rasiei village complex in early 1989. The funeral is a communal event: work and pleasure stops: people converge for day long mourning. Men hand-make a wooden casket and decorate it with black polyester material and string art. Later that afternoon, the burial takes place.
