it’s the Grey of the morning,
and the alarms ringing loud
right in the midst of a dream
as it sings out loudand proud
it wakes me from my slumber an dreams
into another day
where it’s all work and very little play
i’m not an happy man
is there much more i can say

well the day carries on from the bad start
as i take my seat on the bus
looking at all the peoples faces
as they run along in the morning rush
nobodies happy they all look like me
all going nowhere fast
all of them going through the motions of the day
with no expressions on their faces at all
