where has the sun gone

you tell me what you want
you tell what you need
i cant give you nothing honey
but this pretty little seed

where has the sun gone
and is it gone forever
will it come back someday
should we just give it some time

i ask you what you hear
i ask you what you see
you sound like the wind
high up in the trees
ya we make a little something
we drink a little wine
we open up our hearts tonight
we are hopfull for a time

where has the sun gone
and is it gone forever
will it come back someday
should we just give it some time

our love is being tested
in the darkness out of sight
i suppose thats rthe best way
when the dasys are endless nighhts
some times my hearts so empty
an illusion of time so unfilled
i hope in the spring time we can start to rebuild

where has the sun gone
and is it gone forever
will it come back someday
should we just give it some time

kiss me
take off my clothes
i do the same for you
let me see those eyes let me so those eyes

where has the sun gone
and is it gone forever
will it come back someday
should we just give it some time

promises, promises……………….

I love alonetone, but one of the things I'm having trouble getting used to is that you can't reply to comments (?, or can you...?). So, the organ tone in 'soak' is sampled from one of those old reed pump organs. My parents have had one forever, and I sampled some notes and plugged them into MachFive. Other than that I use Digital Performer on an aging Mac. Guitars are direct for the most part, through some effects, and drums are samples, either my own kit or other samples. How about you?

Hey man, Finally catching up with alonetone. Thanks for all your generous comments--I like your stuff too. I love the beat/feel of this song.

Neat tune! It reminds me of a Leonard Cohen/Roger Waters kind of thing. There was also a band a number of years back called King Swamp that this REALLY reminds me of.

Really good this. Like a modernised Velvet Underground on Loaded. me like.

Saved!
