Tribute to Ian Curtis – Joy Division

Born in the grey, under factory skies,
Poetry hidden behind tired eyes.
City lights flicker, the air turns cold,
A voice like thunder, young but old.

Writing in silence, drowning in sound,
Every high pulling him further down.
Lost in the echoes, lost in the pain,
Dancing alone in the pouring rain.

Oh, Ian, can you hear us now?
Your words still cut, your ghost so loud.
In the flickering lights, in the midnight calls,
You’re still here, you’re never gone.

Trapped in the trance of a shaking hand,
A love too heavy to withstand.
Letters left unsent, a mind unchained,
Running in circles, bound by fate.

Transmission fades, the curtain falls,
A requiem carved in hollow halls.
But the records spin, the sorrow stays,
In endless loops of Shadowplay.

Somewhere tonight, in a neon glow,
A lost soul hums a song you wrote.
And in the static, in the dark,
Your voice still beats inside our hearts.
