Well, this is number 10, and with only 8 days left, I think we may be calling it on this one. There are alot of scraps left over, and even a few experiments left to showcase, including a three part duet! but alas, time is escaping into the void…

Lyrics
Dies ist meine Lebenarbeit
Es muss geschutzt werden
Meine Leben arbeiten
Meine ganzen Kampfe, Meine Ideen.
There is no life in the Arcades,
Just turtles walking people on chains.

This was the last song I recorded for the Gowns album, finishing it with a lasting tribute to my friend and mentor, Mr. George Difficult. Our good friend Doug Jablin, a DJ at KUNV in George's old time slot, played this track during a tribute show dedicated to George. I remember driving around Vegas listening to the show with Lisa and my bass playing friend Sam. I remember Sam tear up in the rear view mirror as this song played out. It was an amazingly emotional time for all.
George loved Billie Burke...I only knew of her from the Wizard of Oz, playing Glinda the good witch...George had tons of her old movies on VHS. I remember watching her and realizing that the voice she had in OZ was the voice she had in real life.
George introduced me to the writings of Bryon Gysin and William S. Burroughs. He was extremely well read and had stacks of books in his room all in various degrees of being read. They would always change the next time I went over. He was a wealth of information and intellect.
One of the lynch pins of George's untimely passing had to do with him pruning a tree in his back yard in the wee hours of the morning. He was drinking a bit...and fell, breaking his arm I believe...or leg...I don't remember which...this led him to getting pain killers..and the rest is unfortunately Vegas history. He passed away in his sleep about a week after the incident with the tree. As far as I know, the tree is still there.
Lyrics:
I've got these dreams that take me higher
I've got a soul that has a strange desire
I want to get me a Maserati, drink all night and wake up at 3
There ain't nothing wrong with me, I'm just a victim, I'm just victim of Consumption…

"She lifts her head from the table, squinting beautiful eyes, her hair all jangles and minx. Through her whiskey breath she whispers, and through a haze of cigarette smoke, she could hear the band play....and they sounded like this."
-Vivian
close your eyes and imagine a glu concert-- what does it look like? describe this fake show to me... what would you want to see?
Oh, almost forgot. Many sounds, like these pretty cellos were found on freesound. I did manipulate the pitch on…
I'm better at using my pots and pans for music than for food, so I post this tune in hunger. 3 pots, 1 pan, and a tabla.
"i'm just a gangsta in the jungle" recorded in the amazon. It's actually a part of a monologue that I will likely never post…
Glu and Sister Savage bring you these remixes!

Sister Savage has a little star in this track!
Melody based on 'ah! vous dirai-je, Maman,' by Mozart.. the original composer. I think it's the first and second variation of 12, but that was like 15 years ago that I learned the piece so I have…

Love your new tunes. Your vocals on these remind me of the Ramones a bit, really cool.

I like the guitar part on this tune, the keyboards remind me (pleasantly) of good eighties music (there was some.)
