TRAVELLING THROUGH by Wayne Webster
As I wander round from place to place
And see the greatest monuments that time can trace
They all just pale beside– these shadows as they ride
Through my mind — coming from behind
But that's just sorrow, travelling through
That's just sorrow, and it's got nothing to do
With tomorrow, and the dreams still to come true
If we can just leave sorrow --- travelling through
Gets me sometimes on the edge of sleep
When all the walls I build fall down in…just a blink
All the walls I build, they all fall to the ground
And I find myself, where you cannot be found
Stranded back, where you cannot be found
But that's just sorrow, travelling through
That's just sorrow, and it's got nothing to do
With tomorrow, and the dreams still to come true
If we can just leave sorrow --- travelling through
Gotta keep that old man out there…on the road
And forget the debts of memory he says are owed
Cause they just pale beside your image as it glides
Through my mind
And I don’t care what’s left behind
Cause that's just sorrow, travelling through
That's just sorrow, and it's got nothing to do
With tomorrow, and the dreams still to come true
If we can just leave sorrow --- travelling through
