It’s a phenomenon-enon

The celebrity artist seems more chosen by the masters
Than chosen by the masses
Who take whatever they’ve been handed
What once was talent is now talent and theatrics
And flashy glamor
So financial backers can cash in
Big distraction
Women envy divas, i.e. wish to be them
Or think they’re something
And men are fapping to their image or shower those with adulation
Fan masturbation loading stars with ejaculation
The hottest male singer makes the women wetter while men belittle them or opt instead for less hot men
Unless they’re down so much they talk-up them, ‘bout how they’re awesome to make themselves feel taller
I used to let iTunes decide who I’d tune into
Until I saw that artists with less money were just as lovely
For every person in the world
There’s at least one artist they would love
That no one’s ever heard of
Still most unknowns are replicas
Be on the balls of media darlings they look up to
Yes, this it seems is what they bring
They sound strikingly similar to someone they like or listen to
So the music doesn’t hit like when it was cool
The good news is that in the minor leagues there’s a chance
But in the major leagues there’s only going back
Most starving artists have retold tracks
But I’d give them a shot over what the golds has
In the trenches they still come and go, vanish
But only there are the stars occasionally seen
Which you never find where the paper is green
Can’t wait to play it in my ears
But see still there it’s to pretend or think that style
Is only doing one thing with no end in sight
Or picking some one guy that’s then your guide
